When you dance. You move your body to some type of rhythm. This takes the various parts of your body to manuever to allow for you to move to the. The muscles, joints, ligaments, tendons etc must all collaborate to make this thing called dance happen. This collaboration doesn’t happen on its own. It occurs via commands your brain sends out to the body. Thus leading us to believe that dance affects us mentally as well. Think about it. No one ever does a sad dance. They do a happy dance.
