PART 1: Relationships dictating health and fitness

You ever notice how people put their well being in the hands of others? They put power in intimate / romantic relationships. You’ve either seen it or experienced it in some shape form or fashion. Some are happy being by themselves get into a relationship become slightly more happy and then not as happy as they were when they were single. Some are unhappy because they see everyone else booed up and seek a relationship to make them happy. Others are cool being by themselves and happen to find someone to be intimate with and have a great connection etc. There are various scenarios but that’s not my focus. I’m more concerned about the health and fitness aspect. 

I’ve witnessed what many other fitness professionals have. The relationship factor as it pertains to health and fitness. Some people when they are not in a relationship will work out and diet intensely on the regular in order to look appealing to prospective mates. We’ve experienced people who didn’t / don’t take their health and well being seriously come to us for the miracle makeover for the nuptials and then after never see them again. At this stage they got what they wanted and become complacent / comfortable. They “got em” they don’t have to impress them anymore. 

Your power comes from within. The only way you can lose it or have it manipulated is if you give it away. Your health and fitness is important. That should be consistent. Don’t let in be contingent upon whether or not you are in a relationship or not. 

Then you have the other side of the coin. When the relationship goes bad folk tend to stress or pick up horrible dietary habits and cease to focus on their fitness. That is until they gather the will to get back out there on the market and you see them back in the gym and eating salads hardcore. Sometimes they never recover from the breakup and further sink into a downward spiral of despair and neglect. In the previous mentioned situations folks gave too much power to a third or fourth or fifth party. 

Your power comes from within. The only way you can lose it or have it manipulated is if you give it away. Your health and fitness is important. That should be consistent. Don’t let in be contingent upon whether or not you are in a relationship or not. 

There is another scenario that I want to touch on but that will be in part two. That’s a WHOLE NOTHER HORSE OF A DIFFERENT COLOR.
